The Shins will play on Friday at this year’s Outside Lands Festival from 8:40pm – 9:50pm on the Twin Peaks Stage.
My guess is that the young hipsters and funky children will head towards Twin Peaks once Best Coast and Erykah Badu finish their sets at 8:35pm and 9pm, respectively. Those who decide to join the stoners, hippies and senior citizens who are already 2+ hours into Phish’s set, do so at their own peril.
Note: This is from a set that James Mercer and company played during a rehearsal at the Crystal Ballroom about four years ago. Next week will be the first time I’ve seen The Shins since Mercer disbanded the group and formed Broken Bells with Danger Mouse.
