The mad genius vocalist behind the distinctive sounds of Gnarls Barkley and Goodie Mob — Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, aka Cee Lo Green, aka The Lady Killer — strikes again with this ridiculously catchy song about losing in love.
The best lyric has to be:
Now look here, I’m sorry I can’t afford a Ferrari
But that don’t mean I can’t get you there
I guess she’s an Xbox and I’m more Atari
But the way you play your game ain’t fair
If radio and music listening weren’t so fragmented, this song would have easily been Cee Lo’s second “song of the summer.”
Cee Lo released a radio-friendly, G-rated version of the track, too, but alas, “Forget You” just doesn’t pack the lyrical wallop that “Fuck You” does.
