Unfortunately I won’t be attending this year’s SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. I haven’t been in 10 years, and a lot has changed about the festival, from what I hear.
Locals may be nostalgic for the days when SXSW featured more local artists and wasn’t so corporate, but there is one thing to be happy about: FREE music. Lots of it, too.
Start by checking out the lineups for tomorrow.
A cassette icon next to an artist means there is a FREE MP3 to download or stream. And there must be well over a hundred over the course of the four-day festival.
